Congratulation on winning the Marr Prize honorary nomination in ICCV' 07.

 

    The 11st ICCV is just over at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in this year. The paper" Deformable Model As Active Basis", by Yinian Wu, Changchang Si, and Song-chun Zhu, at UCLA and LHI, wins the David Marr prize honorary nomination.

    The Marr Prize, awarded to the best paper(s) at ICCV, is the top honor in computer vision.In ICCV'07, there are total 1, 300 submissions. Through a rigorous review process, I47 orals and 233 poster papers were accepted. Finally, through all members of the committee read, reviewed and discussed, one paper won the Marr Prize, and other three papers were selected as the David Marr prize honorary nomination.

    This is the third time that Prof. Zhu has won the Marr Prize. In 7th ICCV at Corfu, Greece, Prof. Zhu, cooperating with Yinian Wu, won the Marr prize honorary nomination for texture modeling. In 9th ICCV at Nice, France, Prof. Zhu, co-author with Zhuowen Tu at. al, won the Marr prize for MCMC Inference for image parsing.
