Academic Activities

The Lotus Hill Institute supports many academic activities, such as workshops, summer schools, short courses, invited lectures, and many more. Our academic courses focus on the newest developments in computer vision, pattern recognition and image processing, as well as related subjects such as applied math, statistics and computer science. Anyone interested in our research area is welcome to attend, including students, scholars, and other participas.

Our goal at LHI is to improve the state of computer vision research and related information sciences in China by strengthening communication with foreign researchers. At the same time, through academic activities, we want to find outstanding young students to serve as members on the LHI board of trustees. Through attending our academic events, students have a unique opportunity to form relationships with many experts in the field and are offered many chances for collaboration with these experts, such as further study andresearch abroad, or excellent job positions.

So far, we have arranged the following academic activities, many of which are sponsored by the Chinese National Science Foundation and US National Science Foundation along with corporate sponsorships from our partners.
