2006 Dragon Star Lectures on Computer Vision

Sponsored by NSF China

The object and purpose of the courses :

The lectures is open to all graduates, postgraduates, post doctors and youth professors from home and abroad who engage in the field of computer vision, pattern recognition, image parsing and other related subjects (applied mathematics, statistics and computer ). The lectures involving several themes will last about two weeks, which will systematically introduce the foundation, advanced theories, principles, methods, and the latest progress of computer vision and pattern recognition.

In August, 2005, we have successfully hosted the 2005 LHI US-China Workshop and 2005 LHI Summer School that are sponsored by the China National Natural Sciences Foundation and the US State Natural Sciences Foundation. During the summer school, we provided a series of lectures and courses.

In July, 2006, we successfully held the Dragon Star Lectures on Computer Vision once again with the support of the China National Natural Science Foundation in July, 2006. We have invited Prof Songchun-Zhu, Prof Yi-Ma, Prof Ying-Wu and other world-famous scholars to give lectures. Most of them have already made great accomplishment in their respective field. During the two weeks, they explained the basic theories, advanced development orientation of computer vision science, which will show the panorama of the computer vision science from different aspects. They combined their own research experience to explain the profound things in a simple way. This was very helpful to students. ( Splendid picture show, please click )
